Who We Are

 

This Privacy Policy relates to information about you (“personal data”) which is obtained by DirectDrive Driving School Ltd and for which DirectDrive Driving School is the Data Controller. This notice provides you with information regarding our obligations and your rights in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

DirectDrive Driving Schools Purpose

 

DirectDive Driving Schools purpose and overall mission are teaching safe driving to learner drivers, to uphold a high standard of driving tuition and to contribute to making the roads a safer place to be.

 

What personal data might DirectDrive Driving School collect about you?

 

We may collect the following types of personal data from you (the customer): your name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number, date of birth, driving licence number, bank account details to allow our payment processors to process refunds if required, details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.

Why does DirectDrive Driving School use your personal data?

 

We may process your personal data for a number of reasons, and DirectDrive Driving School will only use your personal data where it has an appropriate legal basis, such as We use your personal data to provide our services or products to you. Our driving instructors and instructor trainers may use driving lesson recording devices, like dashcams or similar video recording devices that are utilised to enhance your training experience. The data and footage captured may also be used as evidence in the event of an insurance claim or police investigation.

 

We use both employed and franchised driving instructors to provide you with driving lessons. Your personal data such as name, address and phone number will be passed to the driving instructor that has been allocated to provide your driving lessons. They will also receive information regarding payments made but this will not include any card details unless you choose to make a payment to them directly.

 

All of our employees and franchisees have completed GDPR training and signed a letter of compliance for your protection.

 

Upon the successful passing of each part of your instructor training, it’s our standard operating practice to request a photograph and customer review that we can place on our website and social media such as Facebook and Google My Business for marketing purposes. It is your absolute right to refuse or consent to have a photo taken and for its use as part of our marketing strategy.

 

We respect your privacy at all times. Your information will never be disclosed or shared with others without your consent unless required to do so by law.

 

In relation to correspondence, you have entered into with us whether by letter, email, text, social media, message board or any other means, and to contact you about any content you provide.

DirectDrive Driving School instructor training division will only contact you for marketing purposes, for example, to keep you up to date with our services.
